Does anyone have any information on the line-up for the Lorient festival in Brittany this year?

Oh boy- this brings back memories! I twice played Lorien back in the 80s when 'Heritage' was in its heyday. The stories I could tell! Second time we were to play support to a very well known Gaelic rock group (who shall remain nameless)in the Palais De Congress and their bus broke down in Birmingham (England!!). We were due to do 30 minutes and wound up doing 90 minutes while they broke every speed limit and finally arrived with 15 minutes left.

Then there was the piper (who shall also be nameless)who lived on Bailey's all the way from Portsmouth to Lorien and back and was seen playing the pipes on the pillion of a motorbike in the middle of Lorien at one point.

Ah - happy daze!

Thanks, John, but that website isn't quite ready yet. I know that Susana Seivane and Le Vent Du Nord will be playing. That's good enough for me to book now.

If they went from Birmingham to Lorient in less than 90 minutes, I imagine they did break a few speed limits.

The website John mentioned has been updated. I really want to go to this. All I need now is an experienced traveller to tell me how I get from Glasgow to Lorient. And someone to carry me back.

Is the one with the long memory Gordon Potts by any chance?
