Despite verring more towards traditional folk and Delta blues, I quite like the crazy frog and his crazy sound. I haven't heard the single though.

From some research I did a couple of weeks back (seeking ways to kill the Frog) I came across some info which says that it wasn't the Public Standards folks who blacked his privates, but the ringtone company. The Powers That Be had some complaints but nothing to warrant them doing anything about it. It was the ring-tone company who decided to do it off their own bat thinking that people would think it was the Nasty Censors at work and then buy the service in protest.

I remember the pre-black-out frog and, quite honestly, I think this was a matter of Hiding His Shame. With privates like that, at least he won't be likely to breed effectively ...

I'll betcha frogs don't even have privates.

Last month we spent a few days on a houseboat on the St John's River in NE Florida. The sound of the frogs was quite remarkable - many different pitches and timings, and no regularity to it at all.   Now I know where rock drummers get their ideas.

I haven't heard the Crazy Frog ringtone, but I'm sure the sound of it is nothing like the sound of that chorus of real (or should I say sane?)frogs.

It's meant to sound like a two stroke motorbike. The frog graphic was a last minute job for the video.

I got a copy of a little video with a chase scene trying to shoot him with a rocket. Very cute.

Nothing beats frogs in the wild. Spring peepers, 'specially.

Well of course real frogs have willies... well, the boy ones do... how else are we supposed to get tadpoles? They don't come free with waterlilies you know!

Real frogs just know to keep theirs to themselves except at the approprate time...

Sometimes after mating, they die of exhaustion......
