I just heard an excellent bit of news, that very soon a film about the late great Phil Lynott and his mother, Philomena, will be coming out.
Hope they can pull it off, my only worry is how the actor playing Phil will master the accent.

Who's gonna play Leslie Crowther????? Couldn't they have found a dub to play Phil then?

How many Dubliners are black, and can act, and can either sing and play like Phil or at least lipsynch and effectively act like they're playing?

The best we can hope for is a good dialect coach for the African American star. He is a pretty good TV actor, for what it's worth. And Holly Hunter is great; she ought to assure a quality production all by herself...

Leslie's not crucial to the story, Caroline is.

Well there's only one Phil, of course, but I hope they can do their best.
Soundtrack ought to be good.

I don't believe there was EVER an Irish Dubliner....that was "BLACK."

In the international theme/ratings of films.

Could someone please give a country by country incestuous rating?

I am sure such databases are common.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

' I don't believe there was EVER an Irish Dubliner....that was "BLACK." '

Phil Lynott was half Irish, half Brazilian Black. He was also known as the only Black man in Dublin.
