You'd think that magnetized gizmos would be ripped off, but a surprisingly high percentage seem to be left alone. I'm pretty sure that most of the ribbon-style stickers you see on cars all over the US are held on by nothing more than magnetism, including all those "Support Our Troops" messages, both yellow and red-white-and-blue, plus the pink breast cancer ribbons and many more.
