I am something of an avid Online Sweeps gal. I win lots of little prizes every month and I've won a few big ones in the past year. (I won a years supply of Cereal 8 weeks ago!) I notices that there are a number of swell online sweeps and contests where the prizes are Musical Instruments. It occurred to me that Mudcatters should win some of these! Most folks who win autographed Guitars wind up selling them on Ebay or somesuch.    I didn't put this in BS because it is about music and musical instruments.

In this thread - I will enter the details of contests and the links to them. If you wish to add to this thread, please abide by the following format:

At any given time, there are usually about 20 Online Contests/Sweepstakes/drawings for Musical Instruments and there's no reason that Mudcatters shouldn't have as good a chance as anyone. I hope you all enjoy this thread. Give me a few days to list all the current ones. If you wish to add a contest to this list, please use the format I described above and please limit it to Musical Instruments or equipment only and not to CDs. There are thousands of CD contests/sweeps and they would just clutter up the thread and defeat it's purpose.

The purpose is to get more of these free instruments into the hands of people who will actuslly PLAY them and not just sell them on Ebay!

I'll add a few each day and try to make sure I hit the ones with really good prizes that are going to end soon. As if to prove that contests are worth entering, as I was typing, Fed Ex delivered a package to me of a box filled with all kinds of Skin Care items, Protein bars, Vitamins and other such stuff I won from a magazine sweepstakes! Sorry I haven't posted to this thread in some time. I will make an effort to post a few of these every week. I've won a bunch of booby prizes of CDs lately, but no guitars! Each week, record companies promiting country artists usually have one or two new contests where the grand prize is a truly wonderful acoustic or electric guitar. Sometimes there are drawings for other instruments as well.
