Whilst driving home this afternoon, the following popped into my mind, inspired by recent headlines in the UK. Tune "The Ballad of Robin Hood" (from the 50s TV series)

"Yob in hood, yob in hood, mooching down the street
Yob in hood, yob in hood, Reeboks on his feet
Bound to be bad, up to no good
Yob in hood, yob in hood, yob in hood

Inciting paranoia, they're anonymous and mean
In market square or in the shopping mall
Causing endless trouble on the English urban scene
The authorities want to ban them all

Yob in hood, yob in hood etc

In what might be their school uniform, or just their fashion clothes
Their faces shielded from the wind and rain
They represent quite everything the adults round them loathe
And so they have to be restrained

Yob in hood, yob in hood etc"

Could do with more work, but then ....

Alan, as you say, it needs work (preferably at least 2 more verses!)
V2 looks as if it would scan better without "Their" before "school uniform", but there again there's always room for a couple of extra grace notes, else what is the appegiatura (sp?) for?

I'll go away and think about this one, definite potential.
Incidentally, in my early days this item of clothing was referred to as 'A Pixie Hood'. If we start to use that name again, no self respecting yob will be seen dead in one!
