Just a quick message to say a huge thanks to Bob Eastwick for all the hard work in organising this inaugural event. Bit on the Side had a great day out, and this folk day deserves to go from strength to strength in the future. Especially nice to meet Dave4Guild and Brenda (and Sarah), and as always great to get to play with Emma Heath and the Professor.

People like you Guest do not help organisers who are putting so much effort in to put on such events.
If you can't be bothered to say anything nice, why don't you just avoid posting, becuase it is not clever of you.

Telford must rate as one of the most goddam awful towns in the U.K. - a soul-less mess of new town planning with ring roads everywhere. Avoid!

Final (?) format for folk day

Musicians booked to appear in main bar of Crown from 11-00 am 11-00 pm with break around 5-30 to 7-00 to set up P/A etc for evening (bigger) bands.

All day session/singaround to take place in Coalport Tavern hosted by BIT ON THE SIDE.

Storytelling in library from 10-30 am to 5-00 pm.

Fox's morris and Khalila belly dancers to perform around the town. Two Appalachian sides invited but no confirmation as yet.

I am also hoping to run a FREE prize draw to WIN A MINI. More details later. Any questions; call me on 01952-608450 but please note - I NEVER answre the 'phone after 9-00pm.
