You know there is a way to turn this Thread into Mudcat funds.
We could all submit a date that the Thread will eventually end at the cost of say 2 dollars per person (adjust currency as required) then contribute those funds to Mudcat and whoever gets the date right will be rewarded by receiving a Mudcat Knighthood or Dameship for Life..lol or whatever the heck they call that stuff or a Mudcat teeshirt if there is enough money, which by the looks of the continuing intrest in this Thread there should be plenty!

Not at all Susu (btw, you come across to me as an incredibly self-righteous and ignorant person, and a lazy thinker. I bet that's not what you're really like... shall I assume my impressions based only on words on a screen are correct?). However, had you at least read my posts in this thread, you would have seen that I mentioned at least two, possibly more times that I was not refering to myself when I mentioned the thing about the baby.

Alternatively, you could have asked me if that was what I was saying, either here in this thread, or in a PM.

But you are nuts if you think I'm going to send all of my posts to you for approval before I post them, just to make sure that you haven't (due to lazy thinking) made a wrong assumption about what I meant by what I said.

Nor will I announce my altruistic intentions for your benefit when I post. Perhaps you like to brag about your altruistic acts, but I prefer to just do them and not advertise them.

You can continue to make assumptions about me based only on some of my posts, but you will only confirm my initial impressions of you if you do.

BTW, I have never posted anything to the Mudcat for the purpose of seeking sympathy or pity. I posted a thread just after my mother died. Not for sympathy, but for the company of people I regarded as friends during a stressful experience. Many of them offered sympathy, and I appreciate that. It's one of the things I like about the Mudcat. And once I posted a thread asking for virtual hugs just because I needed them.

I have sometimes mentioned certain problems I experience or have experienced, not for the purpose of getting any sympathy, but for the purpose of showing other people who were experiencing the same or similar problems that they were not alone. If your life has really been as difficult as you say it has been, you will know how helpful it is to know one is not alone with a particular kind of problem. And sometimes I have mentioned problems as a way of illustrating certain points I wanted to make, for instance the harmfull effects on humans of polluting the environment.

And I have also posted threads asking for information from people in the know about problems I have experienced in order to help me make important decisions about what to do about them.

Anything else you have seen from me in the Mudcat that YOU have interepreted as a sympathy ploy is just your own projection onto me of what you want to believe about me.

And I am not going to get into a pissing contest with you about which one of us has had the more difficult life. You can have that designation if you want it (regardless of whether or not it is true). And then we can all have a big old pity party for you.
