Here's another verse, I'll post all this somewhere one day

Folk singers meeting in pubs do it,
Morris dancers with their clubs do it,
Lets do it, lets fall in love,
The banjo pluckers, I'm sure do it
Bodhran bashers by the score do it,
Lets do it, lets fall in love
Floor singers not on the list do it, they're so eager to please,
Accordianists do it, with their favourite squeeze
Song writers all, you'll agree do it
Even parodists like me do it
Lets do it, lets fall in love!

To quote the late, lamented Bob Copper, 'Gi'e the old beggar some beer'

Heck, Liz, do what everybody in Atlanta did when the Olympics were there a few years back. Schedule your vacation (that's holiday to you, dear) to coincide with the Olympics. Rent your house out to some fan for the duration of the games for about five times whatever your monthly payment is. Have a nice two-week stay in Bermuda.

Pardon me, please. I just need to use the southern door to get to Antarctica. Rapaire's about to be eaten by a carnivorous penguin. What? How'd Rapaire get to Antarctica? It was Gluon's fault. He was supposed to fold the fabric of space-time so that I could have lunch with Rapaire in Idaho without having to go through Atlanta, but he folded it the wrong way and sent Rapaire to Antarctica.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I really need to get to that door.

Gluon the duck-dog is the mascot of the "Mother of All BS" thread. He is an airedale/mallard cross.

Should the Mucat Recovery Ward be reopened?

I'm down with a bug that has left me with no energy and a slight sore throat. Just find me a chair to curl up in and I'll keep myself occupied reading The Mists Of Avalon.

Hot and itchy at Old Songs. Luckily there was plenty of alcohol to offset the heat and the insects, and lots of lovely Mudcatters as well.

Back to me corner for a rest and another glass of the dry white. Any of that ginger squid left?

It wasn't meatloaf.....

I'm sure there's some Purple there somewhere, if not, The Ducklings can sing you 'smoke on the water' - one weekend with me and they're corrupted for life!

Stilly, if you look to the west (that's a little to the right of the shrunken heads and between the faux fawns), there's a little brass catch disguised as a window catch.... flip that and it'll open out to reveal the sunset in all it's glory.

Iced tea for me, please! I'm heading over to the deeply-shaded porch with the slowly wafting ceiling fan. I gotta cool down. I took too long working in the yard this morning and it got hot.

Do any of the Mudcat Tavern doors open on a nice saltwater beach somewhere? That might be a nice destination after I cool off. I bet the squid can direct me to a good beach. Where'd he get to? He's not really in that meatloaf Liz is eating, is he?

Oh such cruel darts directed against one whose very heart strings are attuned to the most sensitive of souls. One who's kindness and delicacy is reknowned throughout the realm. I fear thou dost accuse me unfairly fair midden, for my name is far famed for silver tonguery and emollience of phraseology. May I also add that an ever open mouth has it's uses!!

Don't believe that Limpit, I mean; just ONE rude word! Come on now telling fibs is naughty you know.
Barkeep my glass is empty again, perhaps if you give me a bottle of Lagavulin and a straw it will last longer as less contact with the air will mean less evaporation, can't think of any other reason why it goes down so quickly.

It's gone a bit quiet over in the corner there, want me to warm up the Juke box? It's got Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynnyrd, Dave Swarbrick, Meatloaf and Mozart on it.

Actually the meatloaf could be squid, it's a little hard to tell.

It is illegal to serve an already PLASTERED person in a tavern.
I know these things.
I have been certified.

It's the pain of the sprain, and the thought of the rain, combined with the impelling of the pencil that's propelling.
So there really is no telling if the pencil that's propelling has lead us to the waning of the wrist that is spraining.
So sing us the song of the sling Rummo dear, while from Lizzie her black graphite tale we will hear.
And while you're at it dearie, will you answer that old query;
HOW LONG IS A PIECE OF SLING?

Time for my pills.

Well I've just come back from a trip to the west coast [of Scotland where else?] This included a trip to Skye where it rained hard and heavy for the whole day, so to console myself I went for a guide tour round the Talisker distillery. Unfortunately the dram they gave us to try the nectar was too small, so barkeep please pour me a very large Talisker with a drop of Skye rain in it at room temperature, just to bring out the flavour.
