Hillary Clinton visits a primary school in Ithaca, New York to talk about her job as a senator.
After her talk, she offers question time.
One little boy puts up his hand, and the Senator asks him what his name is. "Kenneth."
"And what is your question, Kenneth?"

"I have three questions: First - Whatever happened to your medical health care plan? Second - Why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office? And third - Whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?"

Just then the bell rings for recess.
Hillary Clinton informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess.
When they resume, Hillary says, "Okay, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"
A different little boy puts his hand up; Hillary points him out and asks him what his name is. "Larry."
"And what is your question?"

"I have five questions: First - Whatever happened to your medical health care plan? Second - Why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office? Third - Whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House? Fourth - Why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early? And Fifth - What happened to Kenneth?"

Well, Right Wing extremists thrive on fear and scapegoats, and Hillary Clinton is a particularly visible target. It also helps that there are many people in the United States who are afraid of intelligent people, especially if those intelligent people are women. So, Hillary makes a perfect scapegoat.
Too bad. She'd make a wonderful president, but she's been demonized for so long that her chances are slim. Even half-believed bigotry can be very effective.

I don't know, Joe, I think Hillary has a very good shot at winning her party's nomination at least. Sure there are a lot of critics of Hillary and Bill too, but the American people (perhaps even a majority) and certainly the mainstream press appear to overlook their little transgressions. I'm not confident she could be elected, though, and it's not because she is a woman.

This guy was driving by the White House when he came to a traffic jam. He sat there a long time, and finally this cop came through the line of stopped cars and explained what was going on. He said that Bush was sitting in the street babbling about his failed policies and the national debt that he has spun out of control, and threatening to set himself on fire with gasoline. They are taking up a collection for him. The man in the stopped car asked how much they have collected, and the cop said "about two hundred gallons."

On the slightly more serious side of this again; back during Bill's
admin, I accidentally caught one really classy right wing pundit on the car radio, couldn't even say which one. The guy was ranting because the commie pinko liberal pansies all sucked up so to Hillary.
The immediate flashpoint that set him off?

He read a newspaper account of one of the social events, and the writer mentioned that Hillary appeared in an attractive dress.

They decided to put a wax figure of George W. Bush in Madame Tussaud's.

The question came up as to where, exactly, they should put him. Definitely not next to the figure of George Washington, because Washington couldn't tell a lie. They seriously considered beside Richard Nixon because Nixon couldn't tell the truth. Then someone said, "How about beside Ronald Reagan? He couldn't tell the difference!"

After a long and serious discussion, they put him next to Christopher Columbus, because Columbus didn't know where he was going, when he got there, he didn't know where he was, and when he got back, he didn't know where he'd been.

Don Firth

P. S. Actually, though, I would have put him next to Howdy Doody, because they look alike, both have a head full of sawdust, and without someone to pull their strings, neither of them would know what to do.

Ah, Hillary, dear Hillary...nary a day goes by when I am not consumed with passion at the thought of you! I love your power suits, I love your cool hairdo and your smile, I love your taste in shoes. You are the icing on my cake, Hillary. I have sought in vain a certain inflatable item for years now in my admittedly pathetic attempts to establish an undying emotional link with you. I can only hope that you DO become president some day, because then I can visit you at the White House and we can get to know each other at last!

Also, because it will drive tarheel totally nuts, and inconvenience DougR to some extent. ;-)

3 good reasons are good enough for me, eh?

P.S. I am a true fan of William Shatner, so you know I've got what it takes. Wait for me, Hillary! I have waited for you, and shall remain faithful unto death itself!

The most brilliant and skillful surgeons in the world live in Texas. I can readily cite you an instance. A few decades back, a young cowboy (actually, a rich kid originally from Connecticut) rode his horse up to a barbeque grill, managed to knock the thing over, and the propane tank exploded. All they found of the young cowboy was his 10-gallon hat and the rear end of his horse. Well, they took these remains to a Texas hospital, and a surgeon there managed to reconstruct the whole person from those two items. It was a miraculous display of his skill as a reconstructive surgeon.

That young cowboy now resides in the White House.

And the last time I remember reading it, it was directed at GWB. Here is an example:

Questions for Bush

George Bush goes to an elementary school to talk about the war.

After his talk he offers question time. One little boy puts up his hand and Bush asks him what his name is. "Billy" says the little boy.

"And what is your question Billy?"

"I have 3 questions:
First, why did the U.S. invade Iraq without the support of the UN?
Second, why are you president when Al Gore got more votes?
And third, whatever happened to Osama bin Laden?"

Just then the bell rings for recess. George Bush informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess. When they resume, Bush says, "Okay, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"

Another boy puts up his hand.

Bush points him out and asks him what his name is. "Steve" says the little boy.

"And what is your question Steve?"

"I have 5 questions:
First, why did the U.S. invade Iraq without the support of the UN?
Second, why are you president when Al Gore got more votes?
Third, whatever happened to Osama bin Laden?
Fourth, why did the recess bell go off twenty minutes early?
And fifth, where the f%#$k is Billy?"

Most people know that George W. Bush tried to start several businesses, but his attempts didn't go too well. He obtained ownership of an oil company and it soon went broke. Then he became owner of the Texas Rangers baseball team and one of his decisions was to trade Sammy Sosa. Not a brilliant move.

But he did consider another attempt that most people haven't heard too much about. He thought he might enter the furniture manufacturing and repair business. But while taking a tour of the factory his father was willing to buy for him, he fell into an automatic upholstering machine.

He's fully recovered.

Biskit asks; why is it hatred when someone makes a joke (I thought it was (pardon the pun) Hillarious) about Hillary or Bill, and all in good fun when you make jokes about the President? I'd call that a double standard.
Poking fun at the established government is as American as Apple Pie, NO-ONE is immune. You give up your immunity, and your anonimity when you become a public figure.
By the way, I personally like Hillary Clinton,She's tough, and holds to her beliefs,I don't agree with everything she believes in,or stands for, anymore than I agree with everything the President is doing, If she runs, and if she is commited to do things I agree with, that I think will help the American People, and the rest of the world she'll get my vote. Hillary is a woman, she's intelligent, she tends to be a liberal, and she is not inclined to take any crap off of anyone. Some folks (including, oddly enough, a lot of women) find that unseemly. Or frightening.

Although I think she'd be a good president (a helluva lot better than what we've had within recent decades), I don't think she has a realistic chance of being nominated or elected to the office. Karl Rove and the rest of the right-wing character assassins (a whole platoon of talk-show demagogues—an army of Orcs) would go into full-attack mode, and among other things, most assuredly trot out the "Whitewater scandal" (although she and Bill were not perpetrators of the scam, they were victims—they lost $60,000 on the deal), and anything else they think they could use to throw mud with. If she were the Democratic nominee in 2008, I'm ready to campaign for her and vote for her. But believe me, the Repubs would raise "negative campaigning" to a whole new level. Nasty? You ain't seen nothin' yet!

And the American public will most probably buy it.

Truth? HAH!!

She is a person who has an insatiable thirst for power and she doesn't care what she has to do to get it. She first demonatrated it (to me, at least) with her "We are the President" line. She continued to show it by remainding married to Bill Clinton even after he shamed her, himself, and his office- because she loved him?- no, because she needed his office to further her own ambition.

She could put together a health package that was so far out in left field taht her own party would not accept it. But she has learned to make herself appear more centrist these days.

This is not to say that she is not an able politician and an intelligent woman. She is certainlly all of that.

But I do not believe that she has any motivation other than the acquisition of power for herself.

Don, you say that she doesn't take any crap off of anyone? Does this include the airport guard that she ordered her van not to stop for in -I believe- 2002 during her campaign for the Senate. I've also heard that she is less than nice to underlings when the press isn't around.

I don't have and quotable instances right now but I have read and heard that she can be real nasty with little or no provocation. If I can find references I will post them.

There's proof for why I don't think she has a chance of getting the Democratic nomination. That sort of assertion with nothing substantial to back it up, and unfortunately there are a lot of Democrats who think the same way. All someone has to do is say it and awa-a-a-a-a-a-ay we go!

Change the gender and that could apply to any number of male politicians. Shall I list a few Republicans? Even if it were true of Hillary, since when has that been a disqualification for office?
