Happy Birthday!

Earl Robinson

born

7/2/1910
(d7/20/1991)

Folksinger (at least two albums on Smithsonian Folkways) and composer:

I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night,
        Alive as you or me
Says I, "But Joe, you're ten years dead,"
        "I never died," says he
        "I never died," says he."

                "Joe Hill"

[He also composed one of my favorite things, "The Lonesome Train." I still have the 12" 78's of it. Plus "Ballad for Americans and "Same Boat Brother" (which Leadbelly sang).]
