Steve Landin of Biggles Wartime Band (amongst other things) sent me this:

Tomorrow, Mr Phil is doing his last ever gig with Biggles Wartime Band before he retires from the band. It is on Friday 8th July, at Ashton Canal Festival.


Whether you are a fan, or a Biggles virgin, t his will be your last chance to experience Phil's acerbic wit, and find out

    * exactly why oysters are an aphrodisiac!
    * what to do with your dog if you are stopped by the police
    * the real reason you should be nice to your children

The gig will be the full two hour show with two sets and including a special guest appearance from The Fish, and there is a fine real ale bar.   They also sell beefburgers and hotdogs.
Entry is pretty cheap (we think it was only £4 last year). Ths show starts at about 20:30.
