Another last minute(no Mudcat) reminder - the July shanty / forebitter session will take place this Saturday, 16 June, at the Press Room, 47 Daniel St. Portsmouth NH from 3:30 to 7:30 PM. All singers and listeners welcomed and encouraged. Good food, good beer, good company.

And Roll & Go is doing a concert at the Waldo Theatre in Waldoboro Saturday evening. Looks like we can't make a shanty sing until September. Bugger!

Well, looks like singers may be more scanty than shanty -- but a small group usually is as good a session as a large group. It means we can actually sit and discuss the songs, etc. in between singing them.

Or maybe it will be Tom and I entertaining the tourists who wander in for a late lunch/early dinner and a beer and discover sea music enthusiastically presented.

Right now it doesn't look like much of a go. Jeff has rehearsal, Barbara's doing the Maine coast with a friend from Kansas, Bruce is going to the symphony, Barry's still in hospital, Jeri's working.

Linn and I will set up the seating, but if no one else comes on board by 5:00 , we'll be homeward bound -- Tom
