Happy Pioneer Day!
(a State holiday in Utah)

Mormons establish Salt Lake City

        The great locomotive next season will come
        To gather the Saints from their far-distant home
        And bring them to Utah in peace here to stay
        While the judgments of God sweep the wicked away.

                "Echo Canyon," DigTrad filename[ ECHOCNYN

        Brigham Young! The western pioneer!
        Brigham Young! He won a noble race.
        Brigham Young! He made a broad statement
        When he raised up on his elbow and said,
        "This is the place!"

                "Brigham Young," sung by "The Council Bluffers" & Mormon Songs
                From the Rocky Mountains

Thank you, but don't forget:

Come, come, ye Saints, no toil nor labor fear;
But with joy wend your way.
Though hard to you this journey may appear,
Grace shall be as your day.
'Tis better far for us to strive
Our useless cares from us to drive;
Do this, and joy your hearts will swell -
All is Well! All is Well!

3) We'll find the place which God for us prepared,
Far away in the West,
Where none shall come to hurt or make afraid;
There the Saints will be blessed.
We'll make the air with music ring,
Shout praises to our God and King;
Above the rest these words we'll tell -
All is well!! All is well!!

William Clayton based All is Well (now known as Come, Come ye Saints) on a popular hymn, also called All is Well. Clayton, a convert from Lancashire, was among the first pioneers to make the trek westwards. He wrote the hymn after learning that his wife, who being heavily pregnant had stayed in Nauvoo, gave birth to a son. The news took two months to reach him.
This is one of, if not the most popular LDS hymns.

Le Scaramouche:

There was a pretty nifty NPR story on Mormons returning to Navoo, but the real gem is on their website: it has a short snippit of the MoTabs (Mormon Tabernacle Chior) singing "Come, Come, Ye Saints," but it also has an .mp3 of "All is Well." For someone like myself who grew up with the hymn, its fascinating to hear the source material. Sorry I don't have the url, but I think if you do a search on "Navoo" on the NPR site, you'll find it quite easily.
