Hello,
The July MIT Chantey Sing was a success! Chanteys were sung and fun was had.
The August sing is tentatively scheduled for 8/14. A Yahoo group list has been created to help chantey junkies in New England find the nearest fix. Details are below.

Event announcements of chanteys and sea music accessible from the Boston area. Founded to promote a new chantey sing series at MIT in 2005-2006, but open to anyone announcing sea music events in New England or environs.
Please join this group if you:
* Want to know when the next MIT Chantey Sing will be (in August, coming soon!)
* Have a sea music gig of your own coming up that you would like to announce to this list
* Want to know when other sea music events are happening in New England
* Would like a ride to/from Boston to a sea music festival or event
* Are touring in the New England area and would like connections to local hosts and venues
* Are a local host or venue interested in hosting traveling chantey singers
* Belong to or know of like-minded groups we should know more about!
