Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: GUEST Date: 28 Jul 05 - 02:40 PM For anyone wanting a respite from the festival, in a good old faisoned back street pub - we have a Mudcat signing in book at The Globe (watering hole) Guisborough. TS14 6JP. All will be made welcome, we keep a good pint of Cameron's Ruby Red Strongarm. There may be some Tiger left, If not it's Mansfield Dark Cask Ale. We may make the Friday night, not sure about the rest of the weekend as we have a party booked on the Saturday and a Christening on the Sunday. Betsy, old friend, we will see you at some point, no doubt. Gillie |

Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival / Bed & Breakfasts !! From: MerryLocks Date: 28 Jul 05 - 01:46 PM Two lasses seek B & B in Saltburn Friday & Sat, unable to camp this year. Every place that ever did accomodation has ceased to do so. Tourist info can offer nice gaff at £90 per night - little on the expensive side. Anybody know anywhere that tourist info don't know about. |

Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: Edain Date: 27 Jul 05 - 05:17 PM I'll be there, with my badge and can be found, for atleast part of the time, with the Shellbacks (although other good places to find me are places that sell beer....) |
Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: R. Padgett Date: 27 Jul 05 - 04:16 PM Sorry Guest you obviously have some clandestine meeting sorted Of course if you dont wish to be recognised as a Catter your wish will be granted!! Dont wear anything (at all) unless you are a bloke ! Just joking of course |
Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: GUEST Date: 27 Jul 05 - 02:26 PM I'll be there for part of it but who said catters want to be known! |
Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: R. Padgett Date: 27 Jul 05 - 12:03 PM RE Catters, I suspect John and Chris Ingram from Donnie will be there (the badge mnakers) could have some Catters badges done Re 'No Fixed Abode' they are certainly on the programme proper, so some chnages have taken place to original 'booked' guests Very nice guitar from Tony and lovely Irish singer Una, from somewhere near Mansfield I think!! They came to Barnsley a short while ago, Easter singaround I think lot gone on!! Ray |
Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: GUEST,Betsy Date: 27 Jul 05 - 01:08 AM Hiya Tig , Thats the bloody trouble - I don't know. Try to explain when you see me - providing I'm compus mentus. I only ever find out bits and bobs when I visit our friends in the Globe at Guisborough , which in addition to the Rugby Folk club, is another place I'm looking forward to having a pint and a sing. |
Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: Tig Date: 26 Jul 05 - 10:27 AM Betsy - haven't you heard of the infamous Mudcat badge and Mudcat teeshirt? For only 50p for one of your own you can join the game of 'Spot the Mudcat' looking for name badges, although some prefer to remain anonymouse. In fact you have known me for more years than either of us care to remember ;-) Love and hugs xxxxxxxxx |

Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: R. Padgett Date: 26 Jul 05 - 04:00 AM Betsy I think Geordie Keith's band is booked; you would make an excellent judge !! and no b___ arguments I could be wrong but No Fixed Abode are going I believe but I don't know whether they are 'booked' could be wrong I think the 'Witches' are on should be a WEB SITE with programme also may be downloadable |

Yes I will be at Saltburn and I'll be trying to get John Taylor to let me enter the singers and songwriters competitions on the basis that I'm keeping the festival goers fed! muppitz x |
Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: GUEST,Betsy Date: 26 Jul 05 - 01:26 AM I know Nutty and Padge, but it drives me crazy when I hear of other Mud catters saying (afterwards) they were at Saltburn , how do we spot / know each other ? Sorry Padge I'd make a terrible judge - try Geordie Keith maybe especially if you provided free beer !!!!! |
Subject: RE: Saltburn Folk Festival. From: Big Al Whittle Date: 25 Jul 05 - 05:52 PM Can't see any mention of No Fixed Abode, though I remember Tony and Una telling me they had been booked. Whereabouts and when can their fans see them perform? A bit crazy booking a great act like that and not mentioning them in the publicity. They did a fantastic set at Stainsby. al |
