Hi,
I heard a fabulous song this weekend and have the chorus stuck in my head. I've found the rest of the lyrics, but am looking for the tune now. Are the verses the same as the chorus? If not, is anyone out there able to pass along the tune for Ewan McVicar's 'Shift and Spin', please?

Yes, basically the tune is the same. There are minor differences throughout the song, to accommodate some of the words but that's about it.
Lovely song. Ray Fisher sang it several times while she was on tour here in NZ in 2001, along with us Northumbrian pipers - and it fits on Geordie pipes in our key of F-and-a-bit! (Nominal G)

Hi, the song is recorded on the Mick West Band CD, "Right side o' the people", (Lochshore 1997) and on my own CD Waterbound-High and Dry which sells for 5 pounds plus postage in the UK. PM me if you'd like a copy.
