A few years ago I used to go to an Israeli dance class in Derby once a month on a Saturday evening. I stopped going for some reason, but I was thinking of taking it up again.

Trouble is, I don't know whether the class is still running and if so when.

Does anyone know anything about this? It was run by someone called Adrian.

I'd also be interested in hearing about anythign similiar in the East Midlands.

Rachel

Did you do it barefoot and all?

Not Israeli dancing, and not Derby, but if you're interested, there's the regular Klezmer session at the White Hart, New Mills, Derbyshire this coming Sunday. There's sometimes some dancing too.

How to get there

Starts about 14.00, goes on till whenever.

No, I didn't do it barefoot - too afraid of my toes getting trodden on when I danced in the wrong direction.

The Klezmer session sounds interesting Paul. I'll have to think about whether I can make that. Thanks

Not barefoot? How very odd. Being barefoot is odd in itself, but that's how Israeli folk dance is done. Beats me why. Not much help, but I do know that around Tunbridge Wells they have a folk dance class and Israeli is done once in a while.
