Subject: Chord Req: Long In The Growing From: Muttley Date: 30 Jul 05 - 11:54 PM Yep! Me Again: Same beat - different song! Looking for the chords to Steeleye Span's "Long In The Growing" Starts: "As I was a-walking along Verger's Wall I saw four-and-twenty young men playing at the ball I asked for my own true love, but they wouldn't let him come; For they said their boy was young, but a-growing" ETC. My problem is with this short-term memory disability; old snippets from a previous life pop in and I think "Yeah! I can probably do / adapt that" and then I get frustrated 'cause I can't find the damn chords to go with the lyrics I know and I can no longer attach the correct ones by listening to the records, either! It's a bugger. Anyway, as per usual, my thanks in advance John |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: Long In The Growing From: Muttley Date: 01 Aug 05 - 06:28 AM Thank-you all: Unfortunately - due to 'brain damage' fingers don't move fast enough to hit an 'F' with any degree of accuracy (it's one of the 'common' chords that still eludes me!) so I'll transpose it up one! Only bugger doing it that way is that the Am (which sounds great) becomes a 'simplified' Bm and sounds less so - but I can put up with that if I can play the song! Cheers all; and again - Thanks Muttley |
