Subject: Review: Tom Paley in the USA From: Micca Date: 05 Aug 05 - 08:02 AM Tom was at Sharps Folk club here in London on Tuesday (2nd August) and during conversation mentioned he was leaving today (Friday 5 August) for the USA and playing a few gigs, so, I know he has many friends that visit the Mudcat and would welcome the opportunity to hear him play. here is the Itinerary he sent me, (He impled he might be willing to accept additional gigs if he can fit them in, so post on here or PM me and I will try to get a message to him)this is a "cut and paste" of what he sent me so is the most precise (and all) info that I have. He is Playing very well and well worth the effort to hear a master musician. "Saturday, August 21, Concert at Radio station KOPN in Columbia Missouri Sunday, August 21, workshop(s) at Tom Verdot's home, also in Columbia, (I don't yet know the times and details of the exact locations of either event, and what the workshop(s) will deal with will depend on what people out there want. Tom V is contacting local musicians and I'll presumably know before the actual day.) Friday & Saturday, August 26-27, Northland Bluegrass Festival, at the Northland Ballroom, near Rosholt, Wisconsin. (It's not a 'strictly Bluegrass' festival; I'll be playing Old-Time, as will some other performers.) Sunday, August 28. Concert in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, for 'Golden Ring Music and Folklore Center' (So far, I don't have any more precise address than that.) Sunday & Monday, September 4-5, Fox Valley Folk Festival, just south of Chicago, Illinois. (Their regular Labor Day weekend festival) After that, I rush back to New York and fly back to England on Wednesday, September 7, |

The tapping of his foot to the beat still rings in my ear!! if anyone can tell me how to get a copy of this Svenska Låtar c.d.
