Up early to let the dog out!! (No derrogatory comments please!, Actually, how do you spell that?.....Les, we came to relax, spread out our picnic munchies, light a couple of candles(whilst offering up a small but significant prayer)drink our drinks and let the entertainment flow! It certainly did... we had a G>R>E>A>T night - smashing atmosphere. Two new acts for me last night.. Rosie & Lucy Coggle? hope I've got that right.. & Jon Loomes. Very very good. Lucy and Paul, brilliant as ever. Terry and Gwenda....What shoulders that man has... to carry such weight of abuse!!...No Gwenda, Terry assured us later that 'he can handle it'! They sang some really nice easy listening songs I wouldn't mind myself - quite an extensive repetoire guys! Steve Newton; got the feet 'tappin to the blues'early on. Have I missed anyone?? Generally,a good time seemed had by all. Thanks Les.C U Soon.

LOL

Quote from TT
They sang some really nice easy listening songs I wouldn't mind myself - quite an extensive repetoire guys!
End of quote

I agree with you there TT. How high can Gwenda's voice get. I thought at one time she was going to break the glasses, so high did she get her voice. Amazing. :-)

You just leave their songs to them and continue doing the lovely songs that you do TT :-) I don't want any law suits :-)

I can't apply my mind to listings of instruments; but I would dare to say that as a folk club, last nights hurdygurdyness,mellodiness,fiddlesome,multi-stringed dexteritynouss??combined with the Jewish harpiness and celloistic competences really only lacked a simple whistle tune!!!.....No promises... but I won the GY & Cleethorpes descant recorder solo class at the tender age of 6...so I hear you gasp...just maybe one day I might be brave enough to add that to one of these exceptional nights out!!!TT
PS. What does LOL mean on a message?....There is so much I have to learn, I know!

TT You forgot the Bohdranisaurus and the Mandolaisaurus.

If Mrs Sooz had been there we would no doubt have heard the Kazooisaurus as well.
