I have gone to Mozilla's site, downloaded Flash Player 7.0, recommended by them. Installed it in my plug-ins under Firedox, as they said to do. It still doesn't work. I have tried to use the BBC Virtual Session page (see fiddle tunes online thread) and do not even see the picture they say to click on in order to start the session. Help!

I also am having trouble with my site at Tripod. Uploaded pictures, yesterday; by all indications they were successfully uploaded, yet all I see is a blank screen. They also show up in my file manager, yet are still blank when I click on them. I remember somewhere they had a "block images" button and I think I clicked on it, by accident. I've written to them. They say they cannot replicate it and the site looks fine to them. So...I checked all of my settings on my browser and cannot find anything which might be causing any blocking.

WOuld one of you mind looking at my site and telling me if you see pix, please? http://katsagewalker.com

Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry to still be asking these kinds of questions after all these years!

kat

Are you sure it is your viewer? Could your firewall or other spam or ad blocker be detected what it thinks is a "popup" and preventing it from displaying?

I on occasion have to go into the settings of those gatekeeper programs and tweak them for new programs.

Good luck figuring how the heck to do it. . . :-/

Maggie, thanks!! I hadn't even thought of the firewall. That was it, for the BBC virtual session problem. Thanks!

I find that the little button in the tray on the bottom right is better for opening it than the Start -> program menu. It seems to go to a different functionality or part of the program.

It won't open from either one...apparently, according to what I found at Symantec, it has to do with a Windows Start-up glitch when multiple programs open at once. I've printed out how to set it to start up later or manually, BUT to reconfigure, the info says to open up "Options" etc. which I cannot get to because the bloody program won't open, which is the WIN problem in the first place! Arrrggghhhx's2!:-)

Tks, just the same.

If it isn't cooperating then you might want to uninstall it then reinstall the Firewall. If you have a couple of Symantec programs you may need to uninstall them both--sometimes they get out of sync otherwise. (And sometimes when you have to reinstall them the clock starts all over as if you just bought it. This doesn't always happen, but sometimes.)

The benefit of reinstalling the program is that it will once again set up the rules to allow everything you already have in there, and your new viewing program should work fine.
