Any mudcatters likely to go?

Besides, Weelittledrummer, Rhyzla and myself. Not sure I fancy hugging them all night :-)

If you listen to Folkwaves, next Monday, you will be able to have a go at winning two tickets for the event.

BBC Radio Derbyshire Folkwaves Monday evenings 7:00pm to 9:00pm

You can also listen to it on the Internet.

Just in case there is anybody who hasn't seen my posts where I wax lyrical about Flossie.

She has a really beautiful voice, pitched low and incredibly sexy. the album I heard she was singing Piaf material and it was breathtakingly good - I am really looking forward to seeing her gig.

There are about ten million people come to bakewell on monday's market day - I trust you got the posters for this happening posted hither and thus, Les. If not I could go round local shops - pm me with the details - starting time price of tickets, precise location etc and I will fashion a crude poster of sorts and bestow it round the town for next week.

theres sod all to do in Bakewell- except eat Bakewell pudding and watch the fish in the river - just that and the drugs and incest - so I reckon you should pull a decent crowd.

all the best

Big Al whittle

Kerrist Al, I'm jealous, in my town, we don't have drugs and incest, well ..... not at the same time!

Al - the posters are there already - should be hanging up in the most frequented places. Thanks for the kind offer though. There is also a european market on the Saturday as wel I believe.

Youve got a castle though Barry - not sure if you have a football team anymore though..

Hi Barry
I saw that you had put the gig on folk now. That was good thinking.
Actually Jim Hancock who does folktalk told me :-)

It will be a great night.

Doug and Sarah are a great act as well. Seen them live at Grimsby Folk Club. We were all stunned at the quality of their act as non of us had seen them before.

By the way Al, you forgot to say how very funny Flossie is. Made my family laugh their heads off when we saw her at the Moor and Coast festival. She brought the house down.
