"On August 22, 1903, Cecil Sharp noted his first folk song, 'The Seeds of Love,' from John England in Hambridge in Somerset. Over the following couple of weeks, Sharp and his friend Charles Marson, the local vicar, collected several dozen songs in the village and surrounding area. Sharp and Marson's success led to further collecting in Somerset, publication of the songs, the regeneration of the Folk Song Society and the revival of the songs in new contexts - especially in schools. Indirectly, it led to the revival of English folk dance and the folk music and dance revival which continues today."

Having to choose is bad. But the File has set hard and fast rules which are immutable and, therefore, I usually follow them.

OTOH, I wouldn't normally say "Happy-Cecil-Sharp-noted-his-first-folk-song, Day!" No, a happy? can be a positive, joyous event. It's just that there are so many negative ones to play with.

I'm greatful that Dearest C Sharp felt the need to rekindle the songs that were dying out on a day that would later (70 years exactly) become my birthday... lol

Happy question mark is apt... i believe it should be anniversery (not sure though:S)

But since it's the 23rd now from me it's Happy belated ?
