Today as I was using a Gene Autry CD as background music I heard a track that had musical & lyric(al) elements of "When the Bloom is on the Sage" which you enquired about last year. The song is "The Dude Ranch Cowhands". The CD is 'Gene Autry with the Legendary Singing Groups of the West', on Varese Sarabande label, #VSD-5841. I thought your father might be interested in this.

How good of you to remember. THANKS, I'm sure my dad will be thrilled to hear about the Gene Autry version. BTW, Dad has really been getting a kick out of hearing of my delight and discoveries on Mudcat. Makes him almost wish he had a 'puter and Internet access.
