Subject: RE: Anyone going to ZoukFest? From: michaelr Date: 08 Sep 05 - 09:29 PM Well, I've stopped thinking about it and signed up. I started learning the guitar at age 13; I've been playing Celtic music for over 15 years; I've had an octave mandolin for almost as long; two years ago I upgraded to a Davy Stuart bouzouki. It's time I got serious about playing it, and a week in the company of likeminded players and the great instructors at Zoukfest should be just the kick up the arse I need. That it takes place at a place called Ghost Ranch in the wilds of northern New Mexico is a bonus, I figure. I know there are CBOM freaks here at Mudcat. Are none of you going? Cheers, Michael |
