Subject: RE: BS: Bobert to take on Katrina... From: Stilly River Sage Date: 30 Aug 05 - 07:30 PM Bobert, if you read this from on the road, it's time to go home. There's no point in trying to go to Mississippi to make a recording now. Too many people have their minds, hearts, and resources in other areas right now. Help out a little while you're in town if you get that far, then head back to Virginia while you still can afford the gas to get you there. And we'll look forward to an opportunity in the future when you can try that trip again. Sorry about all of this. But it's just too big, isn't it? Tell the P-Vine hello from us when you get back home. SRS |
Subject: RE: BS: Bobert to take on Katrina... From: Tannywheeler Date: 30 Aug 05 - 08:14 PM Any word today???? Anyone hear from the Bobster?? How's P-vine holdin' up? He was OK yesterday, but did he take some other notion into his--ummmm--head and go do something else weird? Is that likely? Tw |
Subject: RE: BS: Bobert to take on Katrina... From: Little Hawk Date: 30 Aug 05 - 09:21 PM Bobert's okay. Look down a few posts. As for the goats...dead goats float well, yes...after awhile. Live goats swim well. Bobert, I'm thinkin' you might better reschedule that recording entirely. Circumstances do not really support the idea at the moment. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bobert to take on Katrina... From: Donuel Date: 30 Aug 05 - 11:31 PM Bobert if you change your plans just cross the river to MD and spend some time at our place. I have a home recording studio. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bobert to take on Katrina... From: John MacKenzie Date: 31 Aug 05 - 03:46 PM Hope he's OK, can't see no recording getting done though. BTW I've eaten goat in Jugoslavia as was, and I can tell you that a fresh goatburger takes a lot of b(l)eating, especially when the next course is outside in a pen chewing hay. Makes a fine curry too!! Giok |

Subject: RE: BS: Bobert to take on Katrina... From: PoppaGator Date: 01 Sep 05 - 11:03 PM Good for you, Sidewalk Bob. Way to keep on keepin' on. I must apologize for earlier having pooh-poohed any concerns about Katrina's effect on Thaxton and environs. Amazingly, the storm really DID have a serious impact well into north Mississippi, but bad as it was (and still is, I suppose), it's a mere inconvenience compared to the life-and-death stuff going on down home in NO. Hope y'all catliks and prosstints work out yer differences. It was starting to sound a bit like the north of Ireland for a while there... |
