During Whitby week there was an excursion of 50-60 people out to the Arncliffe Arms in Glaisdale organised (I think) by Raggytash & others. Personally I thought it a great afternoon in good surroundings.

There are some pictures here that I took. I didn't use flash so some of them are a bit wobbly but I hope they jog a memory of a nice afternoon.

Out of interest does anyone know who the two singers are in DSCF2082? I saw them in the Fleece in Whitby also and they sang some very clever (and highly amusing) songs.

If anyone wants me a copy of any of them PM and I'll sort something out.

And if anyone objects to their picture being there (hiding from the law, supposed to be shopping at Tescos, or whatever) let me know and I will remove them

I agree - it was a lovely afternoon Nick. Well worth the drive to Sleights to board the train and join the singaround. Thanks for the photos. Another success Raggy. The Runswick Bay lifeboat fund got a welcome boost.
H.

Sorry I missed it, didn't make Whitby at all this year. Looks a great time

Yet another fine afternoon, thanks to one and all who joined and either listened or sang and helped us raise £150 for the Runswick Bay Rescue Boat, which I took to Runswick yesterday and handed to the committee. As always they expressed their sincere thanks for all your generousity.
On a personal note I would like to thank Mick & Mary McGarry for donating a copy of Punch the Horses's CD "Changing your Demeanour" for the raffle and to Sue Haithwaite, of Huddersfield, for allowing me to use her song "The Eighth Wreck" during which a collection for the rescue boat was taken.
Once again many, many thanks to one and all, pleased to hear that so many people thought it was the best session of the week !!
