Although it saddens me to part with any of my guitars I find myself in a situation requiring urgent measures.
This 1954 Maccaferri guitar comes with the original box etc and is in the same condition as that in the photograph/link.
Its sound is certainly different to anything I've ever played before and, although it could never be considered a quality instrument, may be of interest to any collectors of unusual guitars.
The one in the picture sold for £385. I would be looking for as near to that figure as I can get and would cover (within reason) carriage costs. A donation of 10% would also go to the Mudcat for allowing me to advertise it here.
It is currently residing in the North East UK.

What about E-bay too? My son has bought 2 guitars on eBay from the USA and both arrived OK: he paid using ?World Paypal. I'll show him this when he gets back at the weekend, but may not be quite what he's into. North-east UK - England or Scotland??

I'm going to be selling a few items in the coming weeks and will, no doubt, be using e-bay.
I seemed to remember some discussion a few years back about these Maccaferris on this site which is why I thought there might have been some interest here and I'd rather do business with friends than strangers but the bottom line is, I need the money!

Since the guitar was offered for sale in 2005, I suggest you contact the seller by e-mail to see if the guitar is still for sale.
