Subject: RE: Happy Land CD (Laura Ingalls Wilder Tribute) From: GUEST Date: 30 Aug 05 - 10:54 PM New Hampshire singer, dance caller, educator, etc., Mary desRosiers, along with Pete Sutherland and Nat Hewitt, made a cd (originally a tape) a while back of Laura Ingalls Wilder stuff called "Little Music on the Prairie". It's a nice one. Info here. ~ Becky in Tucson |
Subject: RE: HAPPY LAND CD From: RangerSteve Date: 30 Aug 05 - 11:06 AM There's a book called the "Laura Ingalls Wilder Songbook", which is out of print but exists in my local library. It contains most of the songs mentioned in the "Little House" books. There's some great songs there. If you can find a copy, it's worth having. Steve |
Subject: HAPPY LAND CD From: Dharmabum Date: 30 Aug 05 - 09:43 AM http://www.pasfiddle.com/ Thought this may be of some interest to some folks here. This is what appears to be the first in a series of CD's that's describes as a "Musuical Tribute to Laura Ingalls Wilder". I haven't heard the cd yet,but the website offers soundclips of some of the songs. DB. |
