Subject: RE: Bromyard Folk Festival (UK) 2005 From: GUEST,Mr Happy Date: 01 Sep 05 - 11:45 AM anyone know any campsites nearby where you can just pay for camping without having to get fest tickets? me & fiends usually attend just the fringe elements of fests- sinarounds & sesshes- as we're a band of strolling players & siners-not wanting to go concerts etc. |

Subject: RE: Bromyard Folk Festival (UK) 2005 From: Essex Girl Date: 06 Sep 05 - 07:39 AM There's a farm just up the road from the official campsite which takes tents and campers/caravans, but for the price of the ticket camping on the official site is free and is excellent value. The late night extras are great. I haven't been able to go for the past few years owing to family commitments but it is one of the best fesivals to go to. |

Subject: RE: Bromyard Folk Festival (UK) 2005 From: GUEST,Icantthinkofaname Date: 07 Sep 05 - 05:18 AM Anyone looking for camping. Walk away from the town with the official site (The Football Club) on your right for about 75yds to the pub which has been called O'Malleys for several years but has now reverted to its original name of The Holly Tree. Here the road splits with the main road going to the left and Burying lane to the right. The field which lies between the two roads is normally a certified location but is open to all for the Folk Weekend. Go up Burying Lane for about 200 yards and the entrance is on the left. Its the first entrance you come to. Pay on arrival at the house. Last year if my memory serves me correctly it was £15 per person for the weekend. It can get a bit noisy with late nighters. |
Subject: RE: Bromyard Folk Festival (UK) 2005 From: the lemonade lady Date: 12 Sep 05 - 04:07 PM Yahoo Muppitz who's a clever girl then??? A new star twinkles within our mud pool. wet weekend but good fun anyway. Keith Donnelly was the one that did it for me this weekend!! Now God knows what he looks like standing up. Sal |
Subject: RE: Bromyard Folk Festival (UK) 2005 From: MC Fat Date: 13 Sep 05 - 07:21 AM Muppitz has always been a star. Great weekend except for pesisting it down on Saturday. Had a mad final session in Rose on Sunday 'That's A'moura' will never be the same again I can promise. |
Subject: RE: Bromyard Folk Festival (UK) 2005 From: GUEST,muppitz at work Date: 13 Sep 05 - 08:03 AM Cheers Sal & Jim, you're very kind! Had a great time this weekend, will sorely miss smelling like a chip over the coming months as this was Moor & Coast's last one for the year! Oh what fun it was, re-tensioning my tent on Saturday to stop the leaks, mud-walking (rather like walking on ice but potentially dirtier!) and dodging the police in the football club. But seriously, it was brill, Jez Lowe & the Bad Pennies being the highlight for me (Other than the Fred Jordan memorial trophy of course!), I also enjoyed Mise and Niblik, however I think that they could do with introducing some songs into their repertoire to give that extra string to their bow. (IMHO) muppitz x |
