Subject: Roy 'Cobblers' Harrison and Guttapercha From: GUEST,Gadaffi Date: 05 Sep 05 - 07:39 AM Has there anyone out there from Hampshire or the Southampton area any recordings by Roy 'Cobblers' Harrison of Mike 'Guttapercha' Sadler? Roy died about twenty years ago, and I have a poorly recorded cassette which includes the immortal 'These boots were made in Woking.' I am in touch with Mike Sadler whom, I was told no longer performs, and wondered that, apart from the recordings by both made on Forest Tracks, is there anything else privately or publicly available. |

Seen to recall mention of Guttapercha on it. Might be worth contacting the Fo'csle for details. |
Subject: RE: Roy 'Cobblers' Harrison and Guttapercha From: GUEST Date: 03 Mar 15 - 11:42 AM Sadly no recordings but possible memories. Is Roy Cobblers Harrison the guy who sang "Sammy's Bar" (not his own composition) and also a song about the restoration of Eling Tide Mill? I swear I'm not making this up. Ralph Lane |
