Kieran Halpin is coming along to play at the Thompsons Arms, Flaxton, North Yorkshire on Wednesday 14th September (about 10 miles north of York between A64 and Sheriff Hutton). It is a smallish pub that we hold our weekly folk gathering in so it can only take about an extra 20 to 30 visitors above the regulars who are going.

There is no entrance fee though contributions to the wandering bucket and the raffle are somewhere between encouraged and expected - I'm sure you get the picture.

We start about 8.30 and I dare say it will go on to the right time. I don't think there will be any floor spots available but if you play do bring an instrument and we'll see how we go after Kieran has done his stuff.

If you are interested in coming let us know - either by posting here, PM'ing me or emailing on kieranh(AT)nickblair(DOT)co(DOT)uk. It is a small pub and cannot take too many people so out of fairness to the landlord we'd like to be able to give him some sort of indication of numbers.

Unfortunatly cant make it to flaxton for a couple of weeks
But anyone who takes a trip there will not be disapointed the regulars are a really freindly and tallented group who are genuinely supportive and very good at listening. Also you will get a great welcome from the landlord who is a very nice guy who keeps a good pub.
