Subject: Tech: Searches From: GUEST,Dazbo Date: 12 Sep 05 - 05:11 AM When I search the forum and select a thread to read it comes up in a non-chronological order. How do I correct it or is there a 'bug' in the system? |

Subject: RE: Tech: Searches From: Stilly River Sage Date: 12 Sep 05 - 01:34 PM Hmmm. I thought I offered my suggestion already. Must have gotten lost in the morning crash. Your only option, apparently, is one that is labor-intensive. That would be to load the entire thread and cut and paste the text in the right order for yourself. Hopefully you're not trying to read one of the really long ones this way. It would be a generous move to paste in the re-ordered text into a message for future readers, though I'm sure posting such a long one might set off a whole new set of problems for Max and Joe and the others to ponder. Subject: RE: Tech: Searches From: JohnInKansas Date: 12 Sep 05 - 04:50 PM A quick option is to copy the list of posts at the top of the thread. I usually paste to Word. Sort the list by post date/time, and then just refer to it when something doesn't make sense. You'll likely find a few that don't make much sense even when taken in order; but at least you'll know... Subject: RE: Tech: Searches From: Joe Offer Date: 13 Sep 05 - 10:28 PM I have been tidying up some music threads to put things in more logical order. I have to limit myself, so that I don't make it impossible for Jeff to do a global repair if he figures out a way to do that. It makes me cringe when people ask for editing on "BS" threads, but some of the Clones don't mind fixing things there. -Joe Offer- |
