Happy Birthday!

Margaret Sanger

was born

9/14/1879
(d Sept 6, 1966)

Founder of the birth-control movement in the United States and an international leader in the field. She is credited with originating the term "birth control," but not, of course, with the original notion of it.

Now I know that you'll never believe me,
Twas almost too good to be true,
Twas an ancient old Irish French letter,
        A relic of Brian Beru.

"The Ancient Old Irish French letter," More Rugby Songs, p150; Harry Morgan; 1968

It IS a happy day knowing she was born this day and the strong influence she had for women's rights. Thanks, Abby!

I haven't paid a lot of attention to these "Happy!" threads, but what on earth was all of that?
