So there is a Winterthur in the US obviously. I don't know many musicians who could afford to stay in the Swiss town of that name for very long! Good luck with the gig anyway.

Yes Alanibit Our Winterthur is the Dupont estate turned into one of America's great decoritive art museums . The land is amazing as is the colection !! It is in the Brandewine Valley and among all those great "Horse boxes" . You know land kept open for hunting .. Very beautiful to see at any rate if your not a fox..

From thier web site they say : "Winterthur, an American country estate, is the former home of Henry Francis du Pont (1880-1969), an avid antiques collector and horticulturist. In the early 20th century, H. F. du Pont and his father, Henry Algernon du Pont, designed Winterthur in the spirit of 18th- and19th-century European country houses. "

Max I will do my darndest to finaly meet !! I want to get your CD if youve finished it .. I will keep my fingers crossed .. See you soon. I hope I am not promiced to any evening comitment Saturday.. Last year I got to go to a din din at the Director's house but this time I can play some tunes with Max   .. Yes
!

That would be too kewl if you and Max can finally meet up, Guy!

For those who'd like to see *more* of our illustrious potter and picker and more about Winterthur (US), please Click Here. He's so modest. :-)
Guy, if you see her, please tell Tovah hello from my brother and me. She might remember, he was the composer, Del Hudson, who wrote a piano piece, "Romance of the Rainforest," esp. for Mrs. Martin for Logee's 80th anniversary. We were invited into her home to present it and saw the neatest picture of her with all of her siblings and parents. She proudly told us how her father made all of their clothes. What an extraordinary family!

Have fun! Max, will you try doing a live webcast on Saturday, again?

Me, too, Guy! (We presented Mrs. Martin with a copy of the piece, printed on parchment like paper with green print in a nice frame.) She insisted that my brother play it for her on an wonderful old family piano. He played it about a year ago at a premier of his piano works in in Colorado and they loved it. I told the audience a bit of the background, extolling Logee's. It and Caprilands were my favourite places to visit when we lived in CT.

Logees is the BEST!
