Reminds me that I should convert all my web link references to the books wherever possible. Web pages just ain't all that permanent. Are they?

    "The Battle of the Diamond" was 21st September 1795

            On the Diamond Hill they'd rallied.
            What though they were many, and we but few,
            Yet each to the conflict hasted;
            And the shot was sharp, and the aim was true,

    Refers to an account of a battle beween the Roman Catholic "Defenders" and the Protestant "Peep o' Day Boys".
    The Defenders failed to expel Protestants from County Armagh.
    [thanx Conrad Bladey The page cannot be found, -- oh well, I tried]
