So I share a birthday with a folk notable - and we are the same age!
Unfortunately he tends to get far more gigs than I do. A great writer but I prefer to hear others perform his work.

Eric Bogle

was born

9-23-1944
in Peebles, Scotland
(But can he waltz?)

"The Band Played Waltzing Matilda," "No Man's Land" (William McBride), "Nobody's Moggy Now"

And, sadly, one of only about three "international acts" to have played in Orlando these past 28 years. The rest are right, of course. The extra-fine Mr. Bogle only drew about 20 people. With courage, he performed well, anyway. Mark of the professional.
