Subject: words to From: rltpb@earthlink.net Date: 10 Jan 99 - 09:45 PM We are a traditional acoustic band that is constantly being asked to play "Freebird". We thought we would work it up as an American oldtime or Irish tune. We know the tune, just need the lyrics. Can anyone help? Please send to rltpb@earthlink.net, as I don't get a chance to check the message board very often. Thanks! Robin |

Subject: RE: words to From: Jon W. Date: 11 Jan 99 - 10:00 AM I played this song back in my rock'n'roll days. I bet it would sound great as an Irish tune followed by a fast reel or whatever. Much better than De Danaan's version of "Hey Jude." |

Subject: RE: words to From: Dani Date: 11 Jan 99 - 11:03 AM If you can track down a recording by the Rev. Billy C. Wirtz, hear his song "Stairway to Freebird", about insistent requests for such things. It's hysterical. |
