October 16-22, 1967:
Anti-Vietnam War protests sweep across the USA, beginning with a massive sit-in to blockade the Oakland Induction Center in California and ending with an all-night seige of the Pentagon in Virginia. The US Department of Justice would eventually prosecute Dr. Benjamin Spock, Rev. William S. Coffin, and three others as the masterminds of this conspiracy!

          And it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for?
          Don't ask me, I don't give a damn.
          Next stop is Vietnam.

I was in Washington D.C. for the Mammoth Anti-War Protest on September 24, 2005. We were all there still fighting the dickheads in power who have little respect for human life and absolutely no concern for human suffering in the world. I felt right back there in time on the Ellipse. I was 20 years old again. We must remain ever vigilant or we will be led down the road of a million sorrows over and over again.

Also note The Ballad of October 16, written by Millard Lampell and Lee Hays, and recorded by the Almanac Singers to protest the first peacetime conscription in the United States, which began October 16, 1940.
