Well, I'll be there for one. And Sooz with Mr. Sooz. Gwed and Mr. Gwed, Georgiansilver, Villan, Hipflask Andy, GUEST JK, The Fence, 12-String Growler, Banjo-Flower and Tutti-Flutey (we hope!), and probably others. Why don't some of you come and meet (and hear some of) us?

Oh, and by the way, Julie Felix, Bob Fox, Clodstreet, Mark Newman, The Wilsons, His Worship and The Pig will all be there too.

Come and join us, come and join us..............This week, Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.

Sue Free or not Sue Free, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of Robin Hood country to reach Gainsborough?

went to a lovely guitar workshop by Mark Newman this afternoon, bought his album, learned a few things, Steve Hicks got up out the audience and played Temptation Rag.

Drove all the way home and got on with having flu, but glad I didn't miss that.

oh yeh and saw Sooz, Mike, Strolling Johnny, The Fence and who knows maybe a few more

sorry if I forgot to mention anybody!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make today (Sunday).

However, I have to say what a lovely Friday and Saturday I had.

I am not going to single any one artist out as I think they all contributed to a smashing 2 days of folkmania. Its a team effort.

I would like to praise the committee of the Gainsborough Folk Festival for the unselfish hard work that they put in to make the two days that I saw work so very well. I was well impressed :-) It is so easy just to go to the festival and enjoy it, with very often little thought to the massive amount of hours put in unpaid to make it a success.

The real ale on the Friday evening must have been really good, becuase the buggers drank it dry before the evening had finished :-)
