Well done Pauline, John and Bernard for organising another afternoon/evening/night of great music.

Th'antique Roadshow kicked off the guest spots with some fab harmonising and individual singing/playing followed by the leg-end (as Bernard put it) Hughie Jones. Not seen Hughie live since the days of the great Spinners (shame on me) but he sounded great.

Another veteran, Bill Caddick finished the day off with some fine songs, humour and some nifty playing on his 12 string.

The venue, The Royal Oak in Werneth, is a lot smaller than previous so the sing-a-rounds were curtailed a bit but there was still sadly a few empty seats. Maybe that's the state of folk clubs in general nowadays, very sad. A shame when there is great talent on show for a small fee. Where are all the folkies (or just good live music enthusiasts in Oldaham/Failsworth and surrounding areas?

Anyroadup still a great day!
