Homegrown Tomatoes we got, Kitty. Don't know about the fried green ones.
When the movie was popular, I tried frying some up, and they tasted terrific.

We have had a recipe/food thread which included how to cook them. I tried them after reading recipe ideas here. They were good, too.

i always put green tomatoes in the thanksgiving stuffing/dressing mix.
