Do any Lincolnshire 'Catters know if the Wednesday session, at the Woolpack in Louth, is alive and well ?

I went there tonight but found myself on my own. The pub was obviously expecting a turnout as the reserved signs were on the tables and lots of regulars made comments as they came in about there being no music.

Perhaps it had something to do with Grimsby Town playing a Cup match at home against Newcastle.

Its on a Wednesday.
It may well have something to do with the funeral yesterday of Heather Childs (Carter) organiser of Louth Folk Club and part of Parcel Of Rogues.
I am aware that there was a function afterwards which I would imagine went on all night and could well have been attended by the Woolpack members.
However if you go to the following link you will find the contact details.

Very, very sad. Sorry I wasn't able to be there at the funeral.
You will be sorely missed Heather. RIP.

It was very moving Strollin'

How Martin and Ann managed to sing Rose of Allendale live is beyond me. Amazing, everybody singing and sniffing along with them, and them getting a rapturous applause at the end.

Its hard to take in. I still have fond memories of Martin, Ann and Heather (Parcel Of Rogues) doing a beautiful set at the Christmas event at Market Rasen Folk Club, last year.

That's sad. A funeral would explain things.

I hope those who were there gave her a good send off.

Some of the people who attend the session at the woolpack were at the funeral, so as is suggested it was probably cancelled for the evening. Heather will be sorely missed.

Villan,

I looked at the link that you provided. Lots of interesting info. but the website seems to be a bit out of date.

The last Sunday session at the Six Bells in Barrow has moved to the Haymaker in Bonby, as detailed in this post .
