Subject: RE: Yamaha Clavinova For Sale From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 09 Dec 10 - 09:28 PM As per my previous "It was an electric "Clavinola" I think - it had only a few strings, but several hammers for each string which each struck at a different distance along the string - similar sort of effect as 'hammering on' on a guitar string. It had electric pickups, etc." This was the original - the name was reused for the electronic keyboards. Still want an original one. |

Subject: RE: Yamaha Clavinova For Sale From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 15 Sep 07 - 08:34 AM i have been looking for a keyboard instrument which I saw some years ago - should have bought it on the spot... It was an electric "Clavinola" I think - it had only a few strings, but several hammers for each string which each struck at a different distance along the string - similar sort of effect as 'hammering on' on a guitar string. It had electric pickups, etc. It was done up in a 'roadie proof'1 solid vinyl covered case. Looked pretty solid, but not all that heavy. Depending on price and transport - still keen for one. 1 Ha! Ha! As if... |
Subject: RE: Yamaha Clavinova For Sale From: Rockhen Date: 14 Sep 07 - 10:19 PM I have a CVP8 which is being stored by a family member because I have a stage piano which replaced it. I ought to sell it really, let me know if you haven't managed to find one, yet. It is old but is working perfectly and not battered. It is also a good alternative to a piano. Not sure how it compares to the other Clavinova model, I guess a search for the different models would tell you. |

Subject: Yamaha Clavinova For Sale UK From: Catherine Jayne Date: 01 Nov 05 - 03:20 PM I know this is a long shot but..... I have a Yamaha Clavinova CLP153S(electric piano)that curraantly lives at my parents house and due to them moving to a smaller house they no longer have room for it. It is a full size size weighted keyboard, in wood casing (I think either rose wood or mohoganny finish, sustain and damper pedals, with piano stool. It has hardly been played and is as good as new considering it is 8 years old. My parents bought it for me when I went to music college and was told I needed to learn piano as a second instrument. I am very sad to have to let it go as it is a beautiful instrument so I am looking for it to go to a good home where it will be played and loved. Post here or PM me for more details.
