Happy Birthday!

Singer / songwriter

Robert Louis Stevenson

was born

11/13/1850
(d.12/3/1894)

        And he wrote:

A mile an' a bittock, a mile or twa,
Abune the burn, ayont the law,
Davie an' Donal' an' Cherlie an' a',
An' the mune was shinin' clearly!

"A Mile An' a Bittock" from Underwoods
Tune & chorus, Alan Reid of Battlefield Band (and a good job, too)

As the crow flew, he once lived just a mile and a bit from where we once lived near Edinburgh.
No roads between them, though.

Seven or eight gallons rectal bleeding, thanks for asking. Had me swallow some super glue & blew some tobacco smoke over the affected parts. I go home this afternoon. (May all our survivable hospital stays be as brief.)

Tired but little the worse for wear.
