Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Comic/Humorous Songs From: Emma B Date: 16 Nov 05 - 01:01 PM many of Les Barkers hilarious poems have been set to music and recorded! My personal favourite is "My Husband's got no porridge in him" - I guarantee everyone will know the "plot" For a rousing chorus song by the same writer "The Sloop John A" - lots of "be boo bob" |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Comic/Humorous Songs From: GUEST,HughM Date: 16 Nov 05 - 04:57 PM "Cholesterol" by Adam McNaughtan, from the album "Last stand at Mount Florida". "Punters" by Robin Laing - can't remeber the name of the album, sorry. Also try the album "Aon Focal Eile" by Richie Kavanagh (it's actually in English). There must be quite a few suitable songs by Hamish Imlach, such as "It's better in the Dark" and "The history of Football". On Johnny Handle's album "A collier Lad" there is a song about a trip to the coast which you might like. |
