Im looking for traditional sounding comic (humorous) songs. I have a collection of quiet a few but would love to try and get some more.
The songs I have already are songs like:

Transit Van
JCB Song
The Auld Farmer (Sweet Violets)
Murphy and the Bricks
Where The Praties Grow
The Chandelier Shop
Cupids Poison Arrow
Oldest Swinger In Town
The Little Fly
The Rooster
Bingo In The Morning
How I Loves my Mother In Law
Johnny Bucker
Maggie's Flannel Drawers
Family Tradition (Parody)
Drumsnot

Any lyrics to other songs along the same lines as the above would be much appreciated!

many of Les Barkers hilarious poems have been set to music and recorded!
My personal favourite is "My Husband's got no porridge in him" - I guarantee everyone will know the "plot"
For a rousing chorus song by the same writer "The Sloop John A" - lots of "be boo bob"

"Cholesterol" by Adam McNaughtan, from the album "Last stand at Mount Florida". "Punters" by Robin Laing - can't remeber the name of the album, sorry. Also try the album "Aon Focal Eile" by Richie Kavanagh (it's actually in English). There must be quite a few suitable songs by Hamish Imlach, such as "It's better in the Dark" and "The history of Football". On Johnny Handle's album "A collier Lad" there is a song about a trip to the coast which you might like.

Martin Ryan posted O'Rourke's wonderful 'Drumsnot' in this thread:

If you do a search, you may find others in your list already in the forum.

Curious C, my apologies, I read your posting too quickly and misconstrued it. I mention, however, that O'Rourke's 'Chantel' is also posted in the forum.

I'm not doing too well this morning - should have stayed in bed. My previous post should have read 'Chantal'. The link to the thread is as follows and the piece is very funny even as prose. Scroll down to find the final corrected version: CHANTAL.
