Subject: South Eastern NC, USA musicians From: ejsant Date: 17 Nov 05 - 06:59 AM Greetings All, I will be traveling to the New Bern, NC area for Thanksgiving. I would like to hook up with other folks in the area for a session or two. I'll be in the area from the Tuesday before to the Saturday after the holiday. I believe that one of the pubs downtown New Bern is willing to host a session (according to the Mother-in-law anyway). Are there any folks in this area that would like to get together? Peace, Ed |

Subject: RE: South Eastern NC, USA musicians From: Janie Date: 18 Nov 05 - 08:39 AM Hi ejsant, There is really good music down that way, but I don't think there are any mudcatter's over in the coastal area. Most of us seem to be either in the Piedmont or over in the mountains--though there really aren't that many 'catters in NC considering the amount of folk music there is around this state. Still--I hope you get a response and get some good music in over the weekend. Janie |

Subject: RE: South Eastern NC, USA musicians From: ejsant Date: 18 Nov 05 - 10:00 AM Greetings Janie, There seems to be a good deal of music happening in the Raleigh/Durham and Asheville areas but finding a session in the south east area seems a bit of a challenge. I've been scouring the Internet for contacts down that way and have emailed a number of folks. I suppose I may have made a pest of myself in doing so. If I haven't pissed off too many people in the process perhaps I will be lucky and find a session or two whilst there. On a positive note however it seems I may hook up with Bobert on our journey down. Thanks for the well wishes and have a Happy Thanksgiving. Peace, Ed |
