This is a laugh I've just been on apple uk's site and found this:

Top 10 Folk

1 Cannonball - Damien Rice
2 This Year's Love - David Gray
3 The Blower's Daughter - Damien Rice
4 Babylon - David Gray
5 Sail Away - David Gray
6 Please Forgive Me - David Gray
7 This Side of the Blue - Joanna Newsom
8 Vincent (Starry, Starry Night) - Don McLean
9 Delicate - Damien Rice
10 Say Hello, Wave Goodbye - David Gray

Ha ha!!

Just wondering: thousands of those things around and no one has told the Company about the typo: It is "idiot", not "ipod".

not much overlap between those who use iPods and those who know anything about 'folk', is there?

I beg to differ. I have plenty of fine folk music and blues on my iPod.

Including stellar names like Rick Fielding and Art Thieme.

No Bill, that's not what it means.

It means those songs have been bought from the iPod music shop more than any other songs that Apple have categorised under "folk". The Apple music shop is vast and does have some decent stuff, but their chart is obviously going to be just like any other commercial chart.

The iPod is a fantastic device - I have just about the whole of my music collection recorded, including those dusty old LPs and cassettes that I wouldn't otherwise be inclined to play, and can carry it in my pocket wherever I want to go.

What's idiotic about that Ernest? Am I missing something?

cheers, Terry

What's the best site to purchase MP3s of folk music?
