Subject: Tune Req: help with song (reckless sinner)
From: GUEST,walt
Date: 25 Nov 05 - 05:28 PM

Please help me find a song I heard on the radio. It was acoustic blues, a quiet song, one singer and a guitar. It may have been live, but there wasn't much noise in the background. The lyrics went something like this:

"I was born a reckless (restless?) sinner...

Please, preacher, say a little prayer to God for me...

Preacher, put in a good with with God for me..."

I want to find it and learn it so I can play it.

Thanks,

Walt

The Rose City Kings perform a song called RECKLESS SINNER on the albums "Delta Hop" (2003) and "Holler Out for More" (2005). It is available on Spotify. It's not convenient for me to transcribe it now, but I might try later.

RECKLESS SINNER
As sung by Rose City Kings on "Holler Out for More" (2005)

I was born a reckless sinner,
Rollin' on a barren sea,
Searchin' for the end, my endless winter.
Whoa, preacher, won't you say a good word to God for me?

'Cause in this world of flesh and money,
I am searching for a place to lean,
And I was born here, a reckless sinner.
O preacher, won't you say a good word to God for me?

'Cause I'm missing something here
And I'm caught in between,
Ah, the madness from here to there.
Show me something to believe.

So here I am; I've come to you.
I am here on bended knee,
And I was born here a reckless sinner.
O preacher, won't you say a good word to God for me?

Yes, I am, I am.

Hey, hey, hey, hey.
